Bent But Not Broken

Born in the rocks and the stones of the earth
Exposed to the north wind and snow.
You're stooped and you're bent
Branches twisted and scarred
Your life is hardship and woe.

But the rocks that you cling to provide a foundation
That anchors you through every storm.
And though you are bent
You still struggle skyward
Stretching finger of green to the sun.

Lord in my life there are storms that will rage
And the winds of
hopelessness
blow.
And I'm bent and I'm twisted

And scarred by this world
But I somehow continue to grow (go?)

For the rock that I cling to provides a foundation
That anchors me through every storm.
And though I am bent
I still struggle onward
For your love and your grace keep me strong.

We are bent but not broken as we suffer the storms
As we struggle through fear and through pain
Yes we're bent but not broken for that is the promise
Of love and of life we have gained.

And the rock that we cling to provides a foundation
That anchors us through every storm.
And though we are bent

We will never be broken
God's promise of love keeps us strong.
